| Customer Reviews: Very Technical, not a guide on 'how to' at altitude September 5, 2005 Marathoner (7200', New Mexico, USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
This book reads like a scientific paper. It is packed with altitude-study results and technical scientific information and discussion. It seems to mainly conclude that:
Each undividual must use 'trial and error' with respect to how their body responds to altitude, how much time to spend there, when to leave altitude prior to racing, etc.
There is a lot to learn about what exactly happens at the chemical level in your body. But after reading this book you may not be much better off at knowing what to do in your own altitude training, in practical terms.
