5 out of 5 stars Fair - and caustic   January 29, 2010

Slams both sides of the aisle - very accurate in his historical references

Progressives are the only true enemy of liberty, and he illustrates this nicely

Glenn Beck's book is very well written, and makes a lot of sense. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about U.S. history and also for those who want to get a clear view of how our government is growing out of control. This is not a conservative or liberal book, rather it is a book based on values and equal time of criticism is granted to both sides of the aisle. A must read!!

5 out of 5 stars It's common sense, not often found in Gov't   February 6, 2010
H. Richmond Neuville
An excellent and well thought-out book about the idiocy in gov't. Reads quickly and gets you infuriated with progressives right away. It is a challenge to Americans to restore our gov't to its original principles, to stand on our two feet and get rid of handouts, and to feel pride in our Country again.

Wake up, Everybody, and read this book!

H. R. Neuville, Ph.D.

Thank you Glenn...as frustrated I am with what is going in Washington and in my own state...you reminded me there are more voices then my own saying STOP...thank you and I passed it to my daughters 15 & 18 to read...thank you!!

5 out of 5 stars Common Sense for Everyone   August 20, 2009

Hard to argue with Glenn's logic. Very easy to read and understand. A few of Glenn's observations:
Tax code has expanded from 13 pages to over 64,000 pages.
Congress continues to pass laws that apply to others but not Congress.
Washington thinks they know what's best for you instead of letting you decide what is best for you.
Congress bounced over 3,000 checks but no criminal prosecutions of members of Congress.
Congress continues to say one thing and do another.

For obvious reasons, this book deserves your attention and I'll be passing along my copy to family soon.

FYI - I read my copy 2x!
