This book is like walking with Washington, week by week, through a most interesting time in our history. It should be required reading for all High School students.

5 out of 5 stars A wealth of historical information.   September 6, 2009

With recent events, I chose to reexamine the intent behind the founding of our country. For that purpose I purchase this book and explored the vast experiences of government, the military, and the mindset of this great leader, George Washington.

Very little of this was ever taught in my public school. This is a historical accounting of his life. His battles, successes, and failures.

Just a part of the 3 book series I would suggest for any persons library. It should be required reading in high school or at least college.

I haven't gotten to finish the entire book yet but so far it's great. The book provides facts that every freedom loving United States citizen should know. I've recommended it to all my friends.

5 out of 5 stars A Phenominal History   December 23, 2009
J. Rowe (Cleveland, OH)
This is an exceptionaly well written history of arguably our most important Founding Father. I always thought history was pretty boring, but this book brings it to life like no other. George Washington comes alive and we learn so much about him as a man as well as a great General, President and Statesman. This should be on the reading list of every American who cares to know about this great country's beginnings and what our Founders envisioned it to be.
