Amazing America March 27, 2009 Reverend Kenneth Griffiths (Redwater, AB) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Book by Dr. Skousen is absolutely 'amazing illumination' It clears up all negativity against the American Constitution, which is so vitally important during this hour of uncertainty and compromise. Who would even consider that America has made a 5,000 year leap, in the last 200 years? This Book is a 'must' to be studied in every school in America. Consider this, ye that would desire to circumvent the constitution; Why would you, a patriot, want your Country to digress after making such huge strides, within such a short time frame? Like a house built upon the rock, so is America by the founding fathers. Stay with it! Do not give in to the shifting, sinking sands of corruption by veering from the faith of the founding fathers. What a great Book in challenging, changing times! Oh God, Change This Scene! Changing the Situation
Fantastic ! April 23, 2009 R. Savola (Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A magnificent effort in the written record of American history. Quite honestly, this should be required reading in all U.S. schools.
It gives perspective on the knowledge, thoughtfulness, and intentions of the founding fathers in the creation of our government and its important documents.
I find it difficult to comprehend that NONE of this was taught in my school. It describes the very foundation on which our government was designed. Not a mere summary of the highlights from the revolutionary war on, but much more. Natural law, virtue, role of religion and creator, and on and on... Who are we to be so arrogant as to think they were too simple and primitive as to predict future difficulties we face.
A marvelous book. Read it.
A must read for all Americans April 25, 2009 Kristen A. Porter (Albany, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book will enlighten all Americans to the absolute disregard politicians of yesteryear and today have for the United States Constitution and the rights protected by it!
History Buff October 5, 2009 Glenn Beck (New York State) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an excellent book to read. It tells what the forefathers had in mind when they struggled to write the Constitution. It also forsees what is happening now, because our leaders did not care to keep the Constitution sacred. It is NOT a living document, changed upon someone's will.
Extraordinarily vision-expanding book March 17, 2009 Richard D. Burton (Washington, D. C.) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I agree with the other reviewers who said that every American, and every citizen of any nation that wishes to prosper, should read and ponder this book.
How could the 19th Century begin with Americans traveling by horse-drawn carts and sailboats, just as they did in 2000 B.C., communicating by quill and ink, as they did in ancient Egypt, wearing clothes that had to be hand loomed, as in ancient Sumeria, and yet end the 19th century with automobiles, telegraphs, telephones, steam ships, electricity, mechanized factories, and the airplane about to be invented? How could untold freedom and prosperity, advances in the arts, medicine and the sciences come about so rapidly -- a 5,000 year leap?
The incredible story of America's most spectacularly advancing century, that changed the whole world without foreign aid or socialism, is told with eye-opening insight and wisdom.
You are short changing your education and your family's if you don't read this book.
