Common Sense Returns! March 24, 2009 NJ Keith (Union City, NJ United States) 47 out of 56 found this review helpful
I'm half way through this book & I can't put it down. I've already ordered another copy for a friend who leans "left". The haters will never read this book, it's too frightening to their belief systems. If you've never read the Constitution, you won't understand how it is being assaulted. Buy this book!!
A Truly American Philosophy March 24, 2009 J. Simon (OH, USA) 50 out of 60 found this review helpful
Founded in the writings and philosophies of the Founding Father's, their influences, and decades of experience, Mark builds his case based on fact backed logic and an unyielding American spirit.
I haven't been able to put the book down since I purchased it the other day. The sheer brilliance of Mark's prose forces the reader to think deeply about American philosophical intellect while maintaining an easily attainable level of comprehension.
If you are interested in why America was founded, how America was founded, the principle with which America was founded, you should pick this book up. I would go as far to say, if you are proud to be an American and proud of your country, this book is for you.
Liberty & Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto March 25, 2009 Waylon Floyd 45 out of 54 found this review helpful
This book should be mandatory reading in our schools. Not only does Mark present rational, well considered facts on his radio program, this book covers so many things that are critical for any modern society to survive. Unfortunately, the liberal drones are so consistent in screwing up our lives on a daily basis, there is never enough time to hear Mark's view on all the other items that are happening "under the radar". DDT is a great example. Paul Driesen and others have been trying to educate us regarding the millions of people killed in Africa, however the truth never gets told. Again thank you Mark. Our kids are being indoctrinated in schools about the global warming scandal and we're almost powerless to stop it. We got a book for our kids called "Deb & Seby's Real Deal on Global Warming" that presents an honest accounting of global warming written expressly for children however like most truths, the press and politicians keep these things from us. Keep up the good work Mark! Hopefully your next book will be "How we Overcame Tyranny in 2009!
A Needed, Direct and Articulate Voice March 24, 2009 Andrew Freborg (Stow, Ohio United States) 63 out of 77 found this review helpful
Mark Levin provides a direct and articulate voice to those who will listen. Somewhere over the last 80 years America has lost its way, abandoning her founders' principles for a false "liberty" equating freedom with general entitlement. The "left" will scream, but it will be esp. hard them to argue against the common sense, natural law, and principles held by the founders and so eloquently and skillfully presented by Levin. Those with an open mind need to read and think strongly on the principles Mark Levin presents. He cites history, philosophy, and faith. Facts and faith scare the heck out of liberal fascists ... ergo their contempt for this book without ever having read it or seriously considered its philosophy with an open mind.
The 'Great One' knocks it out of the park !!! March 24, 2009 Carol A. Summerfield (Huntington Beach, CA) 70 out of 86 found this review helpful
Mark Levin has written a powerful, timely book with a clear purpose in mind.
For conservatives who are feeling troubled and apprehensive over what is happening to our country, Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto may be the most important book you will ever read. The guidance we need during these daunting times can be found in Dr. Levin's thoroughly researched work, and you will rediscover the following invaluable facts. You are not alone. Your conservative core beliefs, work ethic, ingenuity, and resourcefulness are within you, and are precisely what will see you through this. Truth does set you free.
For those who voted for Obama, now emerging hung-over from a toga party they never should have attended, horrified to discover what is happening, I would recommend reading this book as an important first step in recovering from 'buyers remorse'.
For liberal puffins skittering to and fro, still clucking catchy slogans, and fantasizing that life is sunny with Obama and his Merry Band running the show, I understand President Obama will be writing a childrens book down the road that might interest you.
