5 out of 5 stars Must Read   July 17, 2009

This book is very pointed, and spares no sides. I think is is actually harder on the conservative side, as that is where the author comes from (clean your own house first). It explains in the shortest terms possible the mess we're in, and the lead up to it. It is a complicated mess, and kudos to Beck for condensing it so well. This is a call to action. If you want to just sit on your sofa, and let the tsunami just flow over you, don't get this. For many who are just waking up, this will hopefully motivate you to dig even deeper, and get more information. Verify the sources; they're good. Most of the arguments on the other side are merely grandstanding, insults, veiled threats, scorn, the double standard, and childish prattery - but few, if any, verifiable facts. This is full of those. I don't agree with every prediction, in the fullest sense, but Beck is putting his thoughts out honestly, with his passion displayed. I don't expect authors to get everything 100%; who really knows the 100%? I like it when an author has some humility.

If our mainstream media were doing their job, writing the facts rather than PR for Obama, this book would not be so important. But since they don't, every American should read this to learn the truth of just how our political leaders are taking this country to economic ruin.
An easy read, written in everyday language.

This was a very interesting book, and the price is unbeatable. I look at my paycheck every week and add up all the social security taxes that are being withheld from me, and I'll probably never see it. Very frustrating. This book covers the disasters of social security and medicare, along with many other important topics. These two government programs alone could bankrupt our country. If government run healthcare for our seniors is a disaster, what do you think will happen when it runs EVERYONE'S healthcare....bankruptcy? READ THIS BOOK....It was a wake up call for me.

Glenn Beck's Common Sense is full of common sense. We hold these truths to be "self-evident" meaning common sense. Read it and pass it on to someone else.

I follow Glenn Beck on the radio, and on TV. I have to admit I was hesitant about ordering the book, because I thought it could be a rerun of what I have already heard him say. I was completely wrong! This book is written in a down-to-earth way, making me smile and nod while I'm reading it. It's just jam-packed with common sense!

I'm going to take Glenn's advice, and share this book with as many people as I can. I'll be ordering more copies of it so I can pass them out.
